Investing In A Post-Plastic World

Did you know that between 4% and 8% of global oil consumption is related to the manufacture of plastics and that its production generates tremendous amounts of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions. For example, in 2015, emissions from plastics manufacturing released as much GHG as 45 million passenger vehicles!

Scientists continue to tell us that GHG emissions contribute to the increasing climate change that we are experiencing. Almost daily, the weather reports tell us about more and more severe weather conditions from the massive flooding in California to the destructive tornadoes in the South that wipe out entire towns.

Plastic is so common in our lives that it is difficult to imagine how we can live without it. However, if we want to help stop climate change as well as end plastics pollution of the environment, we have to achieve a post-plastic world.
